The CALIMA® NATURAL BLOCK is a good product in the stationary market, manufactured with TREE-FREE paper, 100% sugarcane fibers with a cream color in Europe with high quality for writing. The paper is manufactured in an odorless process, with sugarcane fibers, without the bleaching process and it does not have whitening or dyeing chemicals, saving water and energy, and with lower CO2 emissions.
The sugarcane fibers are a waste of the sugar production upcycled to paper. These fibers come out of the sugar mill after squeezing its sweet juices.
This natural-color block brings emotion to the people in the whole supply chain that uses it, such as customers, employees, and suppliers.
Based in Germany, colonia2go GmbH was formed in 2013 as a startup venture to manufacture and commercialize environmentally friendly products and services aimed at the high-quality market segment. The CALIMA® NATURAL BLOCK originates in the Cauca Valley, Colombia, where the sugarcane grows year-round. The name CALIMA comes from the aboriginal culture that lived here between 1600 B.C. and 100 A.D., that mastered goldsmithing and ceramics art.

CALIMA® NATURAL CUPBOARD - In development, ready for fall 2020
The CALIMA® NATURAL CUPBOARD is the first cups stock with TREE-FREE paper, 100% sugarcane cream color paper in Europe with high quality for printing. The CALIMA® NATURAL CUPBOARD is compostable within five weeks in a home composting bin as proved by a thesis of the University of Vienna. The paper is manufactured in an odorless process, with sugarcane fibers without the bleaching process and it does not have whitening or dyeing chemicals, saving water and energy, and with lower CO2 emissions.

The CALIMA® NATURAL CUPBOARD is a compostable and unbleached paperboard TREE- FREE, 100% manufactured with sugarcane bagasse and a PLA coating, bio- polymer. Bagasse is a waste of sugar production and it is a virgin fiber, upgraded to CALIMA® NATURAL CUPBOARD, a perfect sustainable food grade solution.
The combination of the sugarcane paper and the biopolymer coating allows the paper cup to compost in a short period. In a recent university study in Vienna, Austria, the compostability was proven in a home composting environment where it decomposes in less than 5 weeks
